Putting Edge: Family Fun Without the Florida Heat

If you are looking for family fun, do I have a tip for you!  My family and I are always looking for new adventures to do together, but with the blazing temperatures we’ve had this summer, I was determined to find something for us to do together indoors!  One of the first places I look is Groupon!  I love a good deal and new experiences and Groupon never fails me.

As I was scrolling through all of the great Groupon offerings, I came across “Glow in the Dark” mini golf at Putting Edge, located inside of the Artegon Marketplace off Orlando’s International Drive, or I-Drive as we locals call it.  This sounded like the perfect way to spend the afternoon.

We made our way to Putting Edge and as we walked in, it was like walking into a different world. The backdrop is completely black with neons colors jumping off the walls. The course is decorated with bright characters and illuminating obstacles. There is so much to look! There was a shark shark coming out of the floor, crazy psychedelic mushrooms and giant neon trees.

The putt putt course itself was pretty easy and to keep you entertained while playing they played fantastic music.  As an added surprise, several of the holes had additional actives you would play making the round of putt putt even that  more interesting.  For example; one whole said you can only use the handle of the club to hit the ball, or on the 18th whole every players has to use a mini club to hit the ball.

Another fun thing Putting Edge did was have a trivia contest for guests while playing your 18 holes.  Employees asked trivia questions over the intercom, and the first person to answer gets a prize. My daughter got a few glow stick bracelets and some candy.

It took my family and I about 2 hours to complete the 18 holes.  We We took our time and had a great day indoors.  If you are looking to get out of the Florida heat or just something fun to do indoors, go grab a white shirt to put on then head over to Putting Edge.
