Even more news from Walt Disney World today. As part of the complete re-imagining of Disney Polynesian Resort, it will also get a name change. Walt Disney World Resort President George A. Kalogridis shared the news earlier today. In the case of this name change, however, Disney is going back to it’s roots. Disney Polynesian Resort will now be called Disney Polynesian Village Resort, which was it’s 1971 opening day name.
Other renovations that we’ve reported to you include Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto, a food and beverage experience based on the popular themed lounge at Disneyland Hotel. Stay tuned for future updates.
