On our first few visits to Walt Disney World we made it a point to take my daughter to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. It is such a fun experience and she absolutely loved it! So naturally I was pretty excited that my son would be able to take part in The Pirates League on this visit to Walt Disney World. For those not familiar with The Pirates League at Magic Kingdom, it is an experience where little boys (and girls) become pirates, complete with makeup, props and that roguish attitude.
Becoming a pirate was all he talked about in the months and weeks leading up to our trip. During the transformation it was very interesting to see our energetic, always moving boy sit in awe of everything that was going on around him.
In this photo, I captured the moment he was performing the sacred “Pirate Pledge.”
Following the pirate pledge, we entered into Captain Jacks private treasure room (which was insanely awesome!). Unfortunately, no photographs were allowed in the treasure room. If you have not been then let me tell you the treasure room experience is worth the price of admission! I won’t spoil it.
This is a must do for anyone with kids who love pirates! I am trying to convince my daughter to give up being a fairy princess one year and do the pirate transformation with her brother! No luck yet!
Have your kids experienced The Pirates League?
