Do you love food trucks? Walt Disney World has announced it’s first ever Food Truck Festival. This event will take place Saturday, June 21st 5p-10pm at the Downtown Disney West Side by Cirque du Soleil and I hope to see you there!
A total of 14 food trucks, including the 4 Downtown Disney food trucks and ESPN food truck, will be providing us with goodies such as sandwiches, empanadas, pupusas, barbecue, gator bites, seafood, tacos, cupcakes and more.

I have to say, I’m most excited about TJ’s Seafood Shack. We have been to their restaurant in Oviedo and their food is always great. Their menu in the past has consisted of Fish & Chips, Buffalo Style Mahi Fish Sandwich, Award Winning Fish Tacos and my wife’s favorite, TJ’s Blackened Shrimp and Grits.
For dessert, I’m excited to visit Yum Yum Cupcake Truck. I have had there Key Slime (Key lime cake is stuffed with key lime pie filling and finished with a fresh lime zest buttercream) and their Bacon Whoopie (traditional whoopie pie cupcake with a candied bacon cream filling) on my list of things I want to try for awhile now!
Along with all of the food trucks, a live DJ will will be providing great music for all the family to enjoy on the event lawn near House of Blues. It truly is going to be a great family event.
In case you were not aware, Downtown Disney plans to open a permanent food truck park later this summer between Bongos Cuban Café and the new Starbucks at Downtown Disney West Side. Details on this expansion will be coming soon!
