One of the best things to do at Christmas time in Orlando is to check out the different resorts and what they offer for the holidays.
Gaylord Palms is right down the road from Disney and offers an array of activities for everyone in the family. You do not have to be staying at the resort to enjoy the activities but if you do choose to stay, there are many options to keep you busy. First is the ICE! display – this year’s theme is Polar Express and it captures the feel of the movie perfectly. If you have not experienced this yet, you really must go! It runs until January 5.
The ICE! exhibit is in the Alpine Village which features Mrs. Claus telling stories, Snow Tubing, Santa’s Snow Throw, Build-A-Bear Workshop, Secret Santa Scavenger Hunt, Elf Training Academy, Santa’s Workshop, Gingerbread Decorating Corner, Sugary Sweet Storytime, Market Square, and Adventure Kids Wonders of Winter. They also have the Naughty or Nice Escape Room, Christmas Tree Trail, Elf on the Shelf Character Breakfast, Reindeer Express Post Office, #Lit Light Show, The Greatest Story Stage Show, and Cirque Dreams Unwrapped Stage Show.
Whether you check it out this year or go ahead and book a getaway for next year, the Gaylord Palms is a great local Christmas destination!
