American Q boast that they are BBQ and Beyond and I couldn’t agree more. American Q is one of the newest dining experiences to hit Orlando and it’s a dining experience that the whole family will enjoy. Imagine if you will the table service received at some Brazilian restaurants paired with buffet style service of upscale southern cooking and you have American Q.

Homemade Tator Tots with made in house Ketchup
American Q is located within walking distance to Walt Disney World Downtown Disney inside the new B Resort Orlando. The atmosphere inside American Q combines southern chic with good ole sweet tea southern hospitality. The restaurant is casual making it a relaxing dining experience.
American Q head chef Justin Leo, who’s resume includes Walt Disney World’s Coronado Springs and Bonnet Creak Hotels, has brought great creativity to the menu. Tonight he shared with us a sampling of what you can expect when you dine at American Q.
Chef Justin Leo
American Q offers guest several options to enjoy their cuisine. According to Chef Justin Leo, the menu is divided between a “Flatbed Buffet” and a la carte selections. At the time of this review, the Flatbed Buffet was priced at $34.95 for adults and a main course la carte selection ranged from $15.50 to $42.50. For me, I’m a buffet man and I left this one full!
What about kids you ask? American Q has that taken care of as well. Kids that are 7 Chickens high and under can enjoy the Flatbed Buffet for half price.
Ribs – Memphis Baby Back Rib, St Louis Spare Rib and Texas Bark Beef Rib
These may well be the largest sweet potatoes I’ve ever seen! And they were YUMMY!

So what is this “Flatbed Buffet” I’m talking about? Guest will enjoy filling their plates with unlimited seasonal salads, soups, baked potato bar, peel & eat shrimp and much much more all on the back of this beautiful red 1951 pick up truck. Isn’t she a beauty?
And that’s not all! Along with all of the amazing items, the Flatbed Buffet also includes Tableside Cowboy Carvings. The carvings include juicy bacon wrapped chicken thighs, house made sausage, pork shoulder, Carolina style flank steak, Brisket of Beef and my favorite Picanah of Beef.

Skillet Corn Bread with Regular and Jalapeno Butter
BACON!
Alligator Sausage – This tasted amazing!
Slow Braised Pork Belly with Watermelon Salad
Virginica Oysters
Crab Stuffed Deviled Eggs
Homemade Tator Tots with Ketchup
Swine Candy (Sweet and Spicy)
My rule of thumb is the meat should stand on it’s own and it did at American Q, however I know some like a sauce on their BBQ. American Q delivers with their house made Kansas City Sauce, Carolina Sauce, Texas Mustard Sauce and Mango Heat Sauce.
If that wasn’t enough, take a look at the DESSERTS!
Croissant Bread Pudding
Berry Cobbler with Vanilla Ice Cream
Salted Caramel Cheesecake
S’mores Pie
I have to say American Q delivered. The food was fantastic and the environment was fun and relaxing. I will say that the quality of the food was just as great as the quantity and I cannot wait to visit them again soon.
You can visit American Q inside the B Resort at 1905 Hotel Plaza Boulevard | Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830 | For questions or reservations, please call 407.827.3080.
Disclosure: While I was not compensated for my thoughts or this post, I was provided a complimentary dinner at American Q. My thoughts are my own.
