Mark your calendars! The 4th Annual Florida Key Lime Pie Festival will take place Saturday, January 17th from 10am-6pm, at the Exploration Tower in Port Canaveral, Florida. According to event promoters, this years event will have everything to do with the sunshine State’s favorite citrus, the “Florida Key Lime”.
The Florida Key Lime Pie Company will be featuring an array of their company’s delicious Real Florida Key Lime Pie. You will be able to try “Key Lime in a cup, “Key Lime Pie in a Coconut”, as well as “Key Lime Pie by the Slice”.
The Florida Key Lime Pie Company will also be hosting a contest for a 2015 “Miss Florida Key Lime Pie” as well as the company’s ever popular “Florida Key Lime Pie Eating Contest” and The Bet of Florida’s Bartenders “Key Lime Pie Martini” and “Key Lime Pie Margarita” challenge.
If it’s arts and crafts you enjoy, this years festival Marketplace & Promenade will feature Florida Artisans showcasing their work emphasizing our states beauty, diversity and appreciation of art, from beautiful acrylic, oil and watercolor paintings, marine wood carvings, nautical knot decorations, palm frond art, pottery, sea bean and sea glass jewelry, tiki carvings, tropical floral arrangements and much more.
If you enjoy a little music with your key lime pie, no worries. Kick back, relax and enjoy a nice glass of wine or your favorite cocktail alongside your plate of culinary delight as you take in the entertainment of the festival’s bands, demonstrations and presentations.
This years festival will also provide several culinary demonstrations. You can watch the best of the best of Florida’s Culinary Schools as their instructors and students prepare dishes featuring fresh ingredients and secret techniques utilizing ever amazing Florida’s Key Lime in extraordinary and palate tantalizing dishes.
